4K Resolution Pack
Just order a RTX 2060 Super and wondering if it'll handle the 4k texture pack? If I try and it doesn't is it easy to switch back/remove?

EDIT: I will be running it 2k/QHD resolution and the main question was regarding the VRAM difference between what the store page suggests 1080Ti as it has 12GB versus my 8GB

My 8GB seems to be doing fine. Thanks all

If it doesn't work simply do the following:
- Turn off Assets in Graphics Options.
- Uncheck the DLC in the Steam Library and wait for the update to complete.

Thanks. The lower Vram was my concern. GPU should be here tomorrow so hopefully I'll get to try it out of the weekend :steamhappy:

It is ok, I use 4K resolution Pack with 1060 6GB without any issue...

You wont see much of a difference between that pack and normal unless you are actually running the game at 2k or 4k resolutions though.

He's probably playing in 2K like most players.

Never remember the actual resolution for 2k. I'm using a QHD/QuadHD (2560x1440) display so I should see some improvement over the standard 1080 textures.

Gpu installed and DL'ing the pack now. :steamhappy:

I have noticed the texture detail begins to appear at QHD and is the best at UHD. Of course UHD on my system kills framerate and makes me want to get an RTX2080 Super.

Its just textures which use VRAM, if you have 8GB you can run the pack. i ran it on my R9 390 before i upgraded to a 5700 XT just fine. The store page is full of ♥♥♥♥ and trying to push Nvidia gpus because this game is partnered with them. Any gpu that can run the game, and has 8GB VRAM can handle the pack. Period. Funny because AMD had 8GB vram long before Nvidia even had 6GB, but yeah totalllllllyyyyy need a 1080 lmao. load of bollacks.

No it's not. 2k is 1920x1080.
2k x2 = 4k
1920x1080 x2 = 3840x2160
Though 2k and 4k are depending on the display aspect ratio.
Normally 2k comes from 2048 and 4k 4096.

QHD is 4 times HD...which is 720. I could keep linking but I need to sleep. Have a nice night.
