Your Broken Game/Port Ate My Save File

All I had left to do was grind rings and species ranks for the last few missions. I close the game totally normally, after a few minutes lock my PC, and walk away. Come back, open it up, and my save is just gone. I did nothing weird or erratic to chance damaging it. The game just poorly handled my 30 hour save file and destroyed it. Awesome.

Funny being I lost my save file just from installing the Super Sonic DLC, clearly the save system has problems.

I heard that several times as well. Also updates in general deleting the save file.

Yes, after 30 hours of play, I don't know how to close the video game from the main menu. I didn't even shut down my PC afterward.

I don’t think 1 saving crash is really fair to an entire game x). If that was the case than Smash Melee would be the worst for erasing my save a long time ago.

You DO know this series is much less played on PC right xD? It’s mainly a singleplayer console series, that only started PC versions a few years ago. At least it isn’t Metal Gear Survive with $10 save slots ;)

The reviews speak otherwise lmao 50% that's sad.

Most Sonic games are very bad, even childrens don't play it anymore, Sonic 06, Sonic boom, Sonic race, Sonic turn into a werewolf furry, Sonic fall in love with a human....... that's why this serie never had any success after the megadrive. On the other hand Super mario bros series is a great success and it still prove it now, while Sonic games are glitched and rushed, I mean why make a good game when you know you can just not finish the game since mindless sonic fanbase will still buy it anyway ?

At least Sonic forces is not that bugged and the team tried but in the end Sonic franchise is pretty much dead, who cares about Sonic when you have Mario franchise doing 1000 time better than this franchise ?

OP, when you buy a Sonic game always try to make a backup save, because they are known to be very bugged. I know it makes you bad to lose a save but take it the other way, maybe the game is telling you to play something else, if you have to strength to start all over again then goodluck, if you can use someone else save it would be good for you.

Actually only 2 of the games are bugged. And that is 06 and Boom, the rest range from good to excellent, that’s why the series still sells millions with each release.

Sounds like you only have played these 2 then, most Sonic games are bugged, and no only Sonic 1 2 3 and mania sold well, the rest sold poorly.

But in all seriousness, it should go without saying there's plenty of bad Modern Sonic games out there. Not saying you can't like the bad games, just don't tell people they're wrong for acknowledging that there are bad games.

Thank you for bringing to my attention a detail I forgot to add to the spoiler.

But you seem to have forgotten games like SADX (with the Better SADX mod it is at least decent I admit), Secret Rings, Lost World (alright it's a little unfair to include a mediocre game but it does have some pretty bad parts), and Forces itself.

And that's about all I need to say on the subject, I'll leave you to either make peace with the fact that there are bad Modern games or continue to ignore that fact, either way I can't say I care enough to continue the discussion.
