Sonic Forces music and my opinions on it so far (share your own opinions too if ya want!)
I felt like talking about how i felt about the Forces OST and what we've heard so far:

Overworld Map theme- From what I've heard, i really dig the orchestral remix of the main theme. Gives me alot of those cinematic "Unleashed" vibes

Sunset Heights (Modern)- When they finally released a clean rip of that song, i gave it a listen and I feel that it's a pretty alright theme, tho i think it would benefit from replacing the synths with more guitar but other than that, I'd say it captures the mood pretty well.

Park Avenue (Avatar)- I don't know why but this track is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ catchy for me. Maybe its the piano and cheesey lyrics that make it memorable for me.

Green Hill (Classic)- At first, i felt kinda indifferent to this track for being soemwhat generic in terms of a classic remix but the more i listen to it, the more catchy it is to me, weird how that works.

Green Hill (Avatar)- I don't think I've ever genuinely been upset at a song for being so bad before. The instrumentals sound good but that chick's autotuned voice just sounds so bad. Usually, autotune in Sonic music doesn't bug me because it usually sounds pretty alright but i swear, the guy responsible for autotuning the vocals in that song was just pushing random voice sliders on his music program up and down and just called it a day.

Green Hill (Tag Team)- To be honest, not much about the 2 tracks really sticks out to me. but they're alright enough.

Green Hill (Shadow)- it's an interesting take on the "Supporting Me" track from SA2. I like it for what it is.

Casino Forest (Classic)- I dunno why but i quite like this track! For some reason, I just get alot of "Mystic Cave" vibes off it, too.

"Fist Bump"- At first this song sounded kinda bad to me, mainly because of the singer's voice but it's oddly grown on me since then and i do find myself mumbling the lyrics to myself when the song pops up in my head. Thoug the singing could still use some work.

"Infinite"- I dunno why but the absolute sheer edgy-ness of this song makes it addictive for me. I love how cheesey it is.

Don't worry, I know the game and everything including the music probably is still being worked on so these aren't my final opinions. I ook forward to the final product once I find a system to play the game on.

I found most of the soundtrack top notch. I only dislike Infinite, but thats mostly not my cup of tea. The synth in green hill really elaberate the zone's dying state as a bonus as well.

Infinite quickly became my favorite track upon release, with Sunset heights being the one I wanted to hear more of. The Map; Supporting me remix, Rhythm and Balance remix and Casino forest clicked more or less immediately upon hearing them as well as Green Hill classic despite being uncertain at first. Green Hill (Tag Team and Avatar) are taking their time to grow on me. Have to give a shout out to the boss music for classic, the mini boss theme from avatar green hill and Metal Sonic's US remix too.

My only criticism for some of those other tracks is the kind of synths their using really. Me being used to the jazzy swing or rocking guitars of earlier titles is what's brought that up though, I really like electronic music I just think a different kind of sound could be used for some tracks. Impressed with the overall variety so far though and the orchestral score sounds awesome. To reiterate however, Infinite's rap rock/metal theme has taken top spot for me so far... Jun Senoue is nothing short of a legend.

Aside from Infinite's theme, and maybe Metals one, all the music I've heard is either boring or simply bad.
When I'll hear more of Supporting me, it'll probably also go to the good category.

I won't say that Sonic must be rock only, he had his fair share of different genres over the years, but the music in Forces so far is meh.

I get that. Most tracks aren't brilliant, the sound direction feels like it lacks a definite direction. I like how it's like SA2 where each playable character has a musical style, but the chosen genres could do with some work, or maybe the instrumentation just needs changing. Nonetheless, maybe stuff will change once we get to release but I wouldn't hold out on it.

I don't really like that "The game isn't out yet, so they can change stuff" mentality. It worked when the only thing we had was a 45 second teaser, but when it's only a month left until release, I'm pretty sure the game is 95% done already and nothing will be changed at this point.

Honestly the OST sounds great so far, I think most of the hate comes from people juxtaposing it with Tee Lopes's music from Mania.

The music sounds terrible. The only one I kinda like is Park Avenue, otherwise the instruments are bad, the medleys are bad, and the lyrics for the vocal songs are bad (and I already had a low opinion of vocal Sonic songs). Infinite's Theme in particular is horrendus. I couldn't even get through 30 seconds of it!

Fairs. I should clarify that the changing stuff was based on something I said ages ago and forgot to mention about the game. Everything we've seen of the game so far (for what reason I don't know) seems to be running off a demo build that hasn't changed save for the levels in it (which were unlocked as opposed to added apparently) since earlier this year when the first gameplay was shown off. While I'm unsure, I have this strange feeling that what we've been seeing isn't exactly the finished product which is the only reason I'd incite any kind of change. You're right in saying that changing fundamentals this far from release would be a nightmare of sorts or just plain implausible without a delay.
