No one expects a 10/10 game, we know its in the 4-6/10 range. People like myself mostly just want it for the created characters and seeing something new (Infinite's story) odd level design and wonky controls have always been in the sonic series.
I love Sonic to death, and when I saw these two games side by side, I knew Mania was going to be better without a doubt. It looked like a 9+ out of 10 game from the very start.
I didn't expect Forces to be scored this bad, however.
