Combat freeze

I sight a target, select it, hit the "fire" tab, the game zooms in on the target... and nothing happens. The game then refuses to cycle to the net unit, or do anything, actually. The only option becomes "restart the mission" and then the same thing happens again. What am I doing wrong?

Did this issue start after yesterdays patch? Either way, we'd really appreciate it if you could send a bug report to the official forum:

I just encountered this bug too. restart contract or trying other contracts wont fix them. quit the game and start again and it'll gone for now.

Same here, first time I noticed this happening was after the patch.

Basically any action except movement will soft lock the game when this bug comes. You can still press ESC to open menu but that is. Doesn't matter if it's your or enemy action. Reloading the save doesn't help. Haven't checked if restarting the game works for me.

I have something similar. After the first attack, the camera freezes and it won't cycle to the next unit. Only option is to restart mission, then it happens again. It did not generate a bug report.

Same here; perform combat action and the screen freezes during firing sequence, and during enemy movement faze (waited 20 mins and the game was locked; has happen multiple times). Have tried to restart mission, change mission, still soft locks. Game is unplayable, hope they fix this soon,

Mine is doing it as well. First two missions I ran were fine, and now it's unplayable. Wtf?

Same, forgot about this part of the Steam forums and posted it at the general part.

Played around 10h on the new patch, no bugs. Than Lib. Panzyr hits... and since that mission started I can no longer play any mission due to this bug. validate gamefiles? nothing.

Tested to use different Mechs, Loadouts, Pilots, Targets, Missions... as soon as I want to fire at something - endless waiting.

Disabled every Camera movement stuff in the Options as well.

This bug has been around since at least this time last year. They claim it's "fixed" even though the fix for it is "don't load mid-combat saves".

Moral of the story: don't buy games from Harebrained. I never will again. Shadowrun was amazing, Battletech is shoddy as hell.

What the heck?!? I am getting this bug too. Every time I try to attack something, the game just stops responding.

Harebrained, I used to love you guys, but you really have dropped the ball with this game. What is going on here? Are you going to fix this?

Does anyone have a solution as to how to proceed with our campaigns when this bug happens? My save game is horked, and no matter how many times I reload the save game, every time I try to attack something the game stops responding, and the only thing I can do is quit or reload.
