Report a translation problem
for a digital re-release or remaster of MechCommander 1, Microsoft/FASA and Hasbro would have to have talks... which, since it hasn't happened yet in the last 20 years, isn't likely to happen.
MechCommander 2 is opensource (though said source is difficult to track down)...
So anyone could make a remaster patch.
as for a third... I think it probably goes back to the first point.
I think the MechCommander IP is owned jointly by Microsoft and Hasbro Interactive... but I'm by no means sure of that.

I think Phil from NGNG had a couple of vids on YT playing it.
No clue what happened to the mod, though.
Though can still play it if you rollback to earlier builds of the game.
