There are no MP servers, it's all between players. And pretty much all MP nowadays is organized on a Discord channel between specific people, not randoms in lobbies, it's never been a big scene.
(that said, yeah - sometimes the MP system goes down entirely. Don't know much about that, just that people complain about it once in awhile. You'd have better luck looking on the official Paradox BT forums.)
As wesnef said, if you want to play multiplayer join the discord and you can set up a match!
Posts to the Paradox bug forum have been ignored so far.
Game abandoned makes it sound like games devs must stay on 1 project forever, which is a silly idea, A games goes from drawing boards through development gets support and updates for a reasonable period. but that stops and the game is still in use still on sale and no its not abandoned its just finished as a product.
what you really wanted to know was is the online multiplayer having problems?.
so this game which full released 3 years ago is abandoned
logical
because most people play this single player its a tactical wargame.
You may not have noticed but Multiplayer is "Literally" dead at this time. Has not worked in a few weeks now. ( been a few days since I last checked ) As to whether the game is Finished or abandoned is just a matter of perception to a new person checking in the fact that the game is no longer supported can give the impression of it being abandoned.
Also, services such as Parsec or Hamachi should still allow for MP play, I believe.
The only people who might think the game was "abandoned" would be people who would *only* purchase the game for multiplayer...but there's so far no evidence that such a person exists. ;)
why are you explain mp state of this game to me?
