Stuck in movement view.
When I give a mech a move order, the game switches to a kind of cinematic camera showing the mech moving. After the mech has reached its destination, camera switches back to isometric view and I can order the mech to shoot.

Now, the game seems to have forgotten to switch back to isometric.
It isn't frozen, it hasn't crashed. It's just the camera that keeps staring at my Shadowhawks left arm.
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice arm, but I'm getting a bit tired of the view and I'd like to get back to shooting the enemy.
Any known way to unstick the game without aborting or reloading?

I'd say save the game and load back in, honestly... Would only take a minute.

Can't. I can get into the pause manu no problem. But "Save" is grayed out.

What happens if you open up the options menu and change graphics/camera settings? Also, is it hung on a turn (and stuck in movement mode) or is this camera issue persisting after a turn resolves?

1. Didn't try. I eventually loaded a previeous save game.
2. It's stuck after the mech has moved and the game was supposed to go back to isometric view. The game then didn't let me do anything. Couldn't go to the attack phase, thus not resolve the turn.

Sounds like reloading was the correct choice - I haven't seen any soft locks like that when playing, so with luck it won't recur.
Did you verify game files?

And it's been awhile since I played, but it seems like there was an option in the settings to disable that camera view completely.

I don't know a way to try those fixes without exiting though. Was it a really hard battle for you or something?

The reson I started this thread was to ask around if someone had a workaround that did not result in loss of progress.
And while that loss of progress is certainly not what I would call a life changing event, it is still a minor annoyance, So, I thought it would be worth a try to see if a less annoying sollution was available.
