I do not have one myself

It seems to run fine.
I have BTA3062 installed and running on the deck. I did reduce the framerate of the game to reduce power usage to extend battery life and reduce the thermal load.
Roguetech probably can run, but there's a bit of a catch. Roguetech requires the game to be run from the Roguetech launcher. This causes an issue with Steam, especially on the Steam Deck where the game would be invoked in the background and Steam would continue to focus on the launcher. On the PC this is no big deal because you can simply multitask over to the running application. I'm not sure if the equivalent is possible on the Steam Deck in gaming mode. You certainly could do it in desktop mode though on the Steam Deck. Then the only issue would be performance, but honestly, I think the performance side is no big deal. The SteamDeck likely has the horsepower to run it. Like with BTA you'd want to limit framerate to keep the GPU from going crazy and sucking down more power than is strictly necessary.
I've tried selecting new Community controls, editing my own control schema, connecting a BT mouse and keyboard, and the game responds to none of it.
Only on windows, RT on Linux doesn't require the launcher to launch it
Similar problem. The frustrating thing is that sometimes it _does_ work just fine.
And, I can get it to work with the controls in Desktop mode, including from Big Picture. So, it's something isolated to how gaming mode invokes/interacts with the game that I've not been able to isolate yet.
Unchecking "Enable Steam overlay while in game" from the game properties solved the issue for me
