So, that's basic probability for you.
If you WANT salvage you have to select it as a reward, if you want to select MORE choice picks on salvage you take less C-bills thats the trade off, if theres that many salvage parts theres likely lots of other things in the pool so the RNG will decide and the RNG cares not if that's the final part you need to finish frankenmech or a heat sink it's the same in it's eyes
I can't see that changing and any mod would tip the balance so, I wouldn't want it
And what really sucks is getting time wasted on it. Its a game, it should give more joy in less time, wasting time for loading screens is not what I want, eventually it will lead me to drop the game, which I dont want to do. So game brings me sadness.
All in all it should be AT LEAST a configureable option. So people like me can get what we want. End of line.
Same here, I always set reward at full salvage, in most cases that the best payment option. Well, its all about playstyle, I prefer to get all the mechs I can.
Its not about mechs really, but to get max out of situation.
Simply blow off as many arms/side torso as possible, to reduce scrap equipment drops, and incapacitate with headshots or knockdown damage to increase available mech parts.
The tedium of it is silly though; better to simply core every mech you face, and do more missions to offset the reduced loot roll chances.
You'll get more guaranteed loot picks, it'll be much safer for your own mechs/pilots, and you'll accrue more money/XP to boot.
Well... I always drop mechs this way, mate. I get about 17-20 mech parts from 40-60 loot items, its about 30% of available salvage. Still the random loot assignment it somewhat unfair regarding mech parts, you`ll get LESS chance at mech part than in ammo or other crap.
At least it should be an option, to set higher chances for getting mech parts on AFTER mission screen, not DURING mission.
Well... maybe, who cares? Its not Dark Souls to suffer on every corner.
