hmmm this didnt work for me but reducing the screen resolution did work. dosnt look as crisp but no more white screens.
Does anyone know if this has been fixed in the recent patch?
I play in 4K on a 980TI at 3840x2160 resolution, even reducing it to 1920x1080 it does not cure the white screen graphical issue, i even tried the windowless fullscreen edit and still does not fix.
Can the Devs look into this as it game ruining experience and i am awfully suprised this did not get picked up in QA testing considering how common the fault is.
Although you can sometimes avoid the issue by lowering the resolution, this was not ideal as the game looks much better on native resolution, therefore I had been looking into what other people were doing to sort it, and realised that although the exact solutions changed from case to case, the common thread was that some other program that had screen overlay features was interfering with the game and causing the white screen to appear.
So if you want to track the program causing the problem I would suggest opening the game, setting the resolution to the one causing the white screen, and then alt+tabbing and closing one by one programs running from the quick launch bar (the one with the small icons on the taskbar), till closing one of them sorts the issue. If that doesn't find the problematic program you could go to the task manager and close more processes from there that perhaps didn't appear on the quick launch bar.
In my case it was a program bundled with my motherboard called 'msi nahimic' that made notifications appear on screen, that probably wasn't terribly well coded or updated, and therefore was interfering with the game. But other people had problems with mumble for example, others even with the steam overlay itself, so if everything else fails try disabling it.
Anyway, I'm really happy to finally have found the solution to this issue since it has plagued many other unity games, so hope this information helps others too! ;)
@JGalaxy - M8 your info about the problem being related to audio software was spot on. I've look for the solution for about a month after the release of the game and never found nothing. I've been in contact with Paradox support, and nothing again. I've reinstall video drivers loads of times, and again nothing. Until I found your comment about the Audio. In my case was Asus Sonic Sound Studio and Sonic Radar. I've unistall both and now I have no more white screens/panels.
TY very much.
