Catapult k2 build
So I just beat up ms Espinosa to get her CPLT-K2, and was wondering what is good on it, while I do like the double PPC punch I feel it is such a hot mech to do that build.

2x AC20

stopped playing right now, but I don't think the Catapults K2s have ballistic Hardpoints I believe they only have 4 laser hard poitnts and 2 Supports.

The K2 var only has energey hard points so no way to add AC to them. The K2 tends to run hot with lower skilled pilots once you max level them the heat is no longer an issue.

Not true - the K2 has 2 ballistics hardpoints. one in each side torso

as stated, the K2 has 2 ballistics in its torso. Just stock doesn't make use of them

Oh wow I missed that when I was looking at it because I just left mostly stock with upgraded PPCs
For heat planets I use LLaser and AC5 on it for nearly the same long range punch at less heat.

That still seems like such a bad idea with the limitations we have in this game.

It's a mech you use for aethetics. Butchering it with anything other than PPCs is just wrong. Definitely remove the mgs and their ammo, though, they almost never pitch in considering the speed catapults move at and the fact that jumpjets are a weee bit too hot for a 65 tonner's heat sinks usually. Especially if they're touting PPCs.

Yeah you are correct: it's terrible since it practically is wearing paper armour like a 'Jack

You can get away with AC10's but it just doesn't have the punch of the AC20's and I'd totally recommend against it

2x LLAS, 4x SLAS, 6x HS, 4x JJ and max armour

i agree with your first comment however , i run with ppc and llaser 4x mg and ammo and 3 mlaser
virtualy full armour no jumpjets its a tank and good in melee situation

Is it just me or do the mechs with big cockpits like the Stalker and the Catapult suffer increased chance from enemy to headshot injure or kill your pilot?
