I would max jump jets though, that way they aren't just for going over obstacles, but can be used for a little speed boost if you have heat to spare.
You can go AC20, 4 Jump Jets, 1-2 Medium lasers and max armor rest
Pretty tanky, decently fast and with jump jets you can even oneshot mediums from behind sometimes.
lights even from the front (if you hit)
can be frustration if u only have practily one weapon mounted and miss 3 turns in a row ^^
but its a good mech anyway for the tonnage it packs very good armor, good dmg and good speed

its not straigth worse, its even not possible because of only two laser hard points >->
yeah, you should not really run hot, and if you do just dont use the medium lasers, those are just a plus that splash somewhere random besides the AC20 mostly anyway
But you can sometimes use just 1 medium lasser to get rid of an evasion charges. but thats rarly the effective play
head is only for small weapons, has a small laser per default in it
besides there are so many good cockpit modules
