Yang/Darius Notices
Is there any way to get these two to stop telling me to train and fix my mechs...

At the point now that after every mission, damage or no damage, I am getting the "Fix your mech" notice.... (I assume its because I have a couple un-fitted mechs sitting in my bay).

Perfer to do this without a mod, but if there is one that fixes that problem my look into it as well.

None that I know of - you may just have to live with it - it's not a big deal

I don't reccomend using this strategy, this is a fun game, but I know one way to get them to stop. stop playing the game altogether.

Go into each mech's equipment menu and click on 'repair all'.

The only way is to mod the game. Find SimGameConstants.json in the data folder, open it with a text editor, find the 4 lines with "Notif...Recurrence" and put a very high number like 9999 (days) so they don't bother you again.

It hadn't really been bothering me up until I read this post...

It is too bad there are not ways to turn all the 'nanny' messages off.

I know my lance is underweight.
And a few others...

Personally I'd replace them with more comical messages.

Slight derail, isn't it better to necro a thread that has the answer rather than post a new one rehashing the same question?

I think the messages are in lieu of a pop-up notice to remind less attentive players that there's a very important thing needs done. It could be detrimental to forget to repair and take another contract and not find out until you've started the mission, then have to spend time reloading a save or playing the mission with damaged mech(s). The training isn't as important but people do get tunnel vision and forget to train their mechwarriors.

So, a small reminder is actually very nice and hurts no one.

And, if unfitted mechs in the bay cause a message that you hate, shouldn't you just store the mechs or fit them? That one has me scratching my head.

Most forums will say "don't necro, ever". If you can find your answer, that's great. You don't need to pop up a thread to say 'thanks'.

A big reason for Don't Necro is that for any games that have changed over time (due to regular patches, or being a live-service game), bringing back threads from earlier game states just adds confusion. Yes, for a game that's finished updating, and a thread that's after the final update, this isn't the case. But the general "no necro" rule is still usually applied by mods.

That said, people who bump necros just to make some dumb/useless comment ("yeah, me too", "no u", etc), are annoying.

Thank you for actually answering the original question.
