Still can be good to identify several enemies over a cover to provide indirect fire and pick more valuable target. Or to shave off evasion pips from multiple mechs at once.
TBH i think that Rogue Tech handles eletronic warfare better. All of it: ECM, ECCM, stealth, jamming, identification, active probes...
"Triggered ability" as in you have to trigger it (push a button). Not "triggered" as in "it's triggered by some other action".

Yeah rite.. I'm coming from things like POE where triggered means just that.. A triggered ability is triggered by something, not by the player choosing to..
