Adding our own customs pictures for Merc Company logo.
Hi guys,

Is there a way to add our own pictures and use them for our Merc Company Logo in game? This may also avoid to see our logo used by someone else. I've encountered in one of campaign missions pirates using the same logo as I choose before starting my game.

Thanks,

I think I remember seeing a guide saying how to do it but it did it by altering an existing logo.

Thanks a lot! I found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Battletechgame/comments/8emrs2/using_a_custom_mercenary_logo_how_to_guide/

Let's see if it's work! ;)

Well, after many tests of this link that I mentionned previously, unfortunatly it's a fail. :(
As soon as you modify the CSV file manifest the game turns in loop on loading after launching. Its stays on a black screen between game publisher ads and the introduction movie.
If one of you has been good to make it works then please let me know.

To Devs: Give us the possibility to customize our logos in game.

Thank you,

I think this whole thing is not as easy for the devs to implement or even to "mod" files to enable it..because the logo actually applies unto the Argo's internal and exterior in-game, as well as colour/weather damaged versions of the logos on your mechs. So to apply a logo, the devs actually have to reillustrate each one to match everything.
Not that it cannot be done, but I think it would take a lot of time to edit the program to auto edit your images to be compatible unto the in-game assets.

hello Lurhem can I suggest you go to nexus and dowload one of the mods for adding emblems see if it works on 1,8 then if it does look at how it is done. lots of the people creating mods are willing to help people learn how to do things

the link below is the pirate emblems additon mod

I had the same issue, the guide you're using is incorrect. You need to add another ,False to the end of each line and it should work.

Can you give an example please of what you are saying?
Thank you

Thanks Steve! I know this site. I used it when I was playing Subnautica (with full mods). I didn't know Battletech was there. Thanks!

The link for reddit and using paint.net for the emblem editing worked for me, I don't remember this but, do the emblems appear on the mech's chassis as well? The emblem I'm using now shows up just fine on the inside and outside of the Argo, the menus, and the mech selection while in a mission. But I can't find the emblem on the mech itself, but I can't recall ever seeing it previously.

I used an image of O'Neil from Stargate SG1, from the groundhog day episode and he's holding up a plate with a smiley face drawn on it with ketchup and mustard. Now I just need to think of a name for my crew...

Just make sure you flip the image upside down, and save it as a .dds. Worked fine for me, and it was my first time using paint.net (which seems like an upgrade of MS paint, and is free).

Oh yeah, I only replaced an emblem and didn't add new ones. I just looked for an emblem I had no interest in using, copied it to another folder and replaced it with O'Neil. And after looking at my mechs in the lab, and enemy mechs, I wasn't able to see any emblems on the mech chassis at all.

To get an emblem on a mech I believe it needs to have either the Umbra or Valhalla special skin - not sure?

Backgrounds should work fine
