Flashpoint mission rewards and tips - SPOILERS
Hello
what interesting you get from flashpoint missions?

I played about 12 flashpoint missions. A collect 4 parts of lostech Highlander. So I get another Highlander and building 3rd.

Then from one mission you hunt one of brother-sister siblings. I decide hunt brother, as reward I get 2x Gauss Riffle + 2x Gauss Ammo.

From another mission I get LosTech modified Griffin - 55 tons. Very nice mech, usable in max tonnage restricted missions.

From Another mission I fight in Gladiator fight 50 tons vs 50 tons and I get modified Crab - 50 tons. But this mech looks really bad, he can take 4 tons less than another 50 tons mechs. Maybe he have some modifications - like more close combat damage??? Must equip hom and take him in mission to see his close combat params.

From extra hard alliance mission (with Davion) I get Gauss Rifle+. It is modified vesion who weight 2 tons less.

And that is all. Do you get any other interesting lostech equipment?

About tonnage limited missions - there are missions where you need all mecha max 50 tons. So collect and prepare 4x 50 tons good equipped mechs. Another mission was limited to 230 tons. And that is all I see about limited missions.

About that triangulate 8 turn mission (extra hard when you are Ally with somebody) - I do it on 5th try. Very annoying mission.
Some tips - Good is 95 tons Meele Banshee - 2x+60 melee damage, 5x small laser (+30 damage). +4 jumpjets. This mech is really fast. Have a lot of armor. And on close range he can give 260+5x30=410 damage
Stay with 2 mechs with rockets in nearest zone. On 2nd zone send mech with AC20+SRM6. On 3rd farest zone send Banshee.
In 4th turn activate nearest zone with 2 rocket mechs. It makes more breathe to another 2 running mechs.
In 6th turn activate another 2 zones.
In 8th turn decide when is mech near destruction. And do not hesitate to eject pilot. You can eject 3 pilots, need only one mech to finish mission. You will 90% need eject Banshee and Mech with AC20.
I was able finish this mission only with 3 mechs with some small inner damage and no component loosed and one mech who lost right arm+torso. It was error, I eject only 2 pilots. If eject 3 mechs i can finish it withouth any loose. It cost me AC5+++ plus 2 AC5 ammunitions + 3 coolers.
As result a gain Gauss Rifle+ - weight 2 tons less

Do have sense to stay in alliance after finishing that super hard alliance mission? Or is it better to break aliance and try to build another?

you can have multiple alliances at the same time. im in an alliance with marik, canopus and davion.

Question is - have it any game effect? Will I get some more flashpoint missions from Davion when I already finished their super hard flashpoint mission?

You can also get SLDF Griffon, Black Knight and Atlas 2 parts from Lostech reward Flashpoints. And you can get 1-ton +3 to-hit TTS, comms +++ (+4 resolve), a -35% stab damage gyro, 2-ton melee mods +60 melee or stab damage, Gauss +/++, PPC/Laser ER +/++ and pulse laser +/++.

There is no other source of the lostech SLDF mech parts or the items I mentioned except for the SLDF highlander which can show up at black markets and much more rarely at SLDF worlds as parts or a complete mech. SLDF worlds can drop many of the non-+ SLDF weapons but again, only very rarely.

Aside from faction stores which don't really have any unique gear and an improved discount, faction allies don't really do anyting for you other than unlock the single alliance flashpoints. I think you found all the story-tied flashpoint rewards like the griffon.

So each alliance give me single aliance flashpoint mission. And no other flaspoint missions conitnues.
IMHO best is after finishing flashpoint mission broke this aliiance and try build aliance with other fraction. There are no positives and only negatives for having alliance.

I had a flashpoint claim it would give me lost tech items.

I got nothing of the like...

So yeah, since flashpoints have limited spawns, it seems you either get lucky and get an easy game, or get unlucky and are just FUBARED because of random loot with latter flashpoints thinking we're all rolling in losttech gear.

This mission makes me want to quit the game entirely. And those rewards are awful. Hopefully they patch this out/make it a bit more balanced. All that effort for one Gauss Rifle? Please.

I'd take a Gauss Rifle over the ER PPC I got from that one.

I gain Gauss Riffle+ which weight 2 tons less than standart Gauss Riffle. IMHO i get best lostech equip I see.

imho when you know how to do that final mission it is relatively easy to repeat it. Hard was thinking how to do it. I kill only 2 mechs. And cripple another 2 but have no time to finish them. Key is that you do not want kill, you want to survive. So by activating first zone in 4th turn you make mechs watching another 2 zones try to attack you. They start to walk and use LRM to attack you. So another 2 mechs going to these 2 zones have no big problem. The key is when in 6th turn they activate these 2 zones. The must survive attack of 4 mechs for 2 turns. But it is doable.

It looks that there is finite number of flashpoint missions. Is it possible to restart them in campain? These missions are more interesting that normal game and getting lostech equip is nice.

And another question. I thinged that every ally have extra flashpoint mission. So after allying Davion and make his final flashpoint mission I broke alliance and make actions for Canopus. And make him my new ally. But new ally flashpoint mission do not show. So is there possibility to play more ally flashhpoint missions for different allies?

And when flashpoint missions end? Is there finite number of missions? Or after making finall ally mission they stopped?

it is annoying after getting some flashpoint missions just return to base game withought flashpoint and no way to get some lostech equip.

The same thing happened to me with Canopus, but I have done the Davion and Free Worlds and I'm about to try for Steiner
