Best Places for Atlas II parts and lostTech?

pretty much what it says on the topic, I'm a good thirty hours into post game, and I love it but I really want to upgrade. I'm rocking an atlas II that I got from completing the campaign, two other atlas mechs, and a crab for its LRM stock and hefty should the enemy get stupid enough to try and get close.

The Black Market, any of them.

yup. they have really ramped up what you can buy at the BM now.

but if you are looking for things like gauss++ rifles, make sure to visit New Vandenburg (Taurian space), or the only other adv starleague planet in Capellan space. that's your best shot at getting advanced lostech on the cheap.

hmmmm, i took a break for a while, I'm not sure if I have access to the black market. where would I access it if I do?

you have to get an invite from the pirates. if you are neutral with them, it costs 500k. it's a random event that usually happens when you are traveling in the first month or so.

then you look for planets that have a black market. about 30% of planets have a BM IIRC.

Yeah the BM is out of control now with the lostech. Lots of new stuff in there plus SLDF Griffins that you can buy to strip for DHS.

You can also find 732b highlanders and Black Knight Royal parts but you need to fix a bug in the

"itemCollection_systemStores_MechParts_BlackMarket_Assault" file. Just change the capital "B" to lowercase for those 2 mechs.

Yeah the one after the 6 essentially just make it look the same as all the other references to it in other collections. Same with the Highlander.

Okay, so it seems I don't have access to the black market.
Do I need to recruit a pirate and raise my rep with them?

Just look for the systems with pirate mission chances (probably have to start at the lowest skull rating) and work your way up the rating. The more they like you the more chances you have of a black market invite so dont be tempted to work against them unless you really have to (say for flash points)

You can find a full Atlas II on the black market at Zanzibar. It's just left of the abandoned Maldive system in between Capellan and Federated Suns space.

2. all black market stores are randomly generated lists, so no, there is no guarantee he will find one at zanzibar, but it is possible, same chance as at any other black market.
