(honestly, all "Ironman" means to me is "chance to get f'd up by a save file error". So I just turn it off, even though I never reload.)
I had a crack at it and got to 440,000, with about two months left on the clock and a hope that completing the MRB rating and earning a few more C-Bills would push me over the 480 needed for the next achievement tier.
I wander away to do some life stuff and then my little kid comes up to me "Daddy, I made the spaceship fly !"
He'd commandeered my computer in secret and spent my last 60 days or so zipping around the galaxy, probably choosing random events willy-nilly.
Tempted to try again and have a crack at 480+ ... but can't conceive of a galaxy where I could possibly break the 720 and 760 (or whatever it is) major career achievements.
