In my second trial, I shielded/baited the 'Mechs such that they were removed from combat by CT destruction. It should be noted that my client is set to delete mechs that are removed from combat this way. This method yielded far more interesting results.

As you can see, under the CT/deletion clause the player is awarded the undestroyed equipment of their deleted 'Mech... or in this case the undestroyed equipment from a unique, one-off, lostech-equipped ally. While everyone loves fancy medium lasers, this investigation was more of a proof-of-concept than an advisable tactic. I am very excited to see its applications in upcoming Flashpoints, with more abundantly armed allies. After all, I'm still bitter that the Exchanger in the Enforcer was CT-mounted.
I salute you.
Conclusions:
-You can steal cool stuff from your temporary lancemates during Flashpoint missions
-You must have 'Mech Destruction enabled in the game difficulty settings
-The component that contains the desired equipment must survive
-The CT of the 'Mech that carries the desired equipment must be destroyed
-The desired equipment must not be destroyed by a critical hit
MWO players will do anything for their precious LosTech... anything

Rox is sporting 4x DHS and an LPL. Unfortunately for me, one of the DHS is mounted in the CT. Unfortunately for Rox, I decided that 3 was enough. On to the next Flashpoint!
My hatchetman had two hatchets lol.
I have it recorded as well :p
oh my god
will that work on normal missions as well? i'd love to be able to core a cycZ and get a mobile battle computer.
Yup. I've found one of the cyclopes and 3 of the hatchetmen so far and have sacrificed them with temporarily hired MechWarriors so my regulars avoid injury, harvested fixed equipment from all so far.
My Hatchetman now has 4 hatchets lmfao. Almost any other mech would use the 4 hatchets better due to the Hatchetman's -45 melee damage quirk, but this is good enough for now
as you say, General Grievous. ;)

five bucks says the hatchets will not show up as visible on any mech other than a hatchetman though, and extra hatchets on a hatchetman also will not be visible.
...and that hatchet animation is my favorite thing in the entire dlc. really.
