What do tags do ingame?
I had a pilot caught making a stil and got tagged as a drunk
What exactley does this do? How does it affect them?

Certain events only trigger for certain tags... and some offer special solutions with the right tag (not that they are always better).

If you hire, hire technitians. They sometimes tinker with equipment in the stores upping their quality level. Other than that officers tend to have good events for leadership...

And hiring nobles AND commoners leads to class infights between them sometimes.

You can also use them as a guideline on how to devleope their pilot skills. A Solaris VII gladiator is a guaranteed Bulwark person in roleplay.

These tags only affects choice selection for random events in between battle (e.g. while you are traveling on your ship). No impact on combat what-so-ever. You can treat them as flavor text.

Commoners and Nobles trying to murder each other and reducing your morale is NOT unaffecting combat. But yes... for the most part if you just play it.

Lucky is a good tag to get--it seems to help with some of those random number generator outcomes. In my case, Dekker got a Lucky causing event early on, and he hits when he shouldn't and survives more than I'd expect.

It isn't a miracle, but I do now favor to have him charge into melee and take more risks. Or it's placebo for both him and me.


If the lucky tag has a non-combat effecting event, I have not seen it.

not sure, BUT, considering the random events, +/- moral----teck-----medi, SO one can ASSUME, "DRUNK"=bad with booze(says so in game) so, say, OTHER RANDOM EVENT, "So and so is quitting, throw party/kick out/beg to stay, "PARTY OPTION"= a party where, OMG theres booze, so, assume bad with booze= after party, bad condition/moral/out of combat for a bit/gor out of hand behavior n made a FIGHT and ended up in brig/hospital,


SO,, one can assume DRUNK is a tag, that plays off of OTHER PILOTS RANDOM EVENTS, to have a +/- affect never mind the result of the reason there was a random event in the 1st place, , EG, 'threw party, ships moral +1 *PILOT X has drunk, so *incert bad thing here* on top of/as well as the +1
