In Battletech I use for speeding up battles and travel both.
It's just a shame that they didn't include the Jump sails. Those animations in MW2 were awesome. It's also lamentable that every Jumpship is the exact same model. Are those all supposed to be Invader class?
You'll get nuts, when traveling from one side of the universe to the other side...
Perhaps a option to skip them - but not get rid of them.

Using a 3rd party program with hotkey functionality allows you to use a hotkey to toggle the increased speed on and off, allowing you to skip them at will, or like me, skip through enemy turns -though the latter requires a high end CPU to be able to do all those actions and calculations in such a short period, not recommended unless you have a top of the line pc or you can crash your game due to poor pc performance, skipping the jump scenes any old potato should do fine.
You can skip some of them but not all by simply pressing escape key.
Anyway i like them. They are very relaxing.
