Just go to game settings and turn them off, buddy. There's a slider where you can adjust the frequency of all of the different types of animations, including jump.

Ha ha I never noticed that! Does it speed up the travel?

I think that jump cinematic setting controls in-battle jump camera, instead of the JumpShip scene. At least I've it on "Never" and I am still seeing the jump scenes playing on every hop.

Your intel is phoney, pal. It doesn't work.

Darius? Is that you?

Since day one, when I noticed no way to make the game faster, I've used Cheat Engine's Speed Hack. I set a hot key to speed up the game up to 5x while I hold it down (tick the checkbox that says stop when released). I've set this up a long time ago, too many games are disrespectful of the player's time.
In Battletech I use for speeding up battles and travel both.

Tayls, does not work. Why post if not real? You poison the well.

I like them. And even if I didnt, this isnt even on the top 100 list of stuff I Want.

There's clearly some confusion between jump scenes (when your mech jumps around the map) and jump scenes (when your dropship jumps between planets).

I like the Jumpship scenes. They're part of space travel. Yes, most of space is boring, but it adds to the atmosphere. Or rather, the lack of it.

It's just a shame that they didn't include the Jump sails. Those animations in MW2 were awesome. It's also lamentable that every Jumpship is the exact same model. Are those all supposed to be Invader class?

There needs to be an option to turn off the space travel scenes. They are tedious. They're not even pretty. Bad enough to have to watch for the thousandth time when making one jump but when travelling 15 or 20 systems away you might as well go make dinner.

They should at least be skippable, like the docking-sequence with the jumpships (per ESC).
You'll get nuts, when traveling from one side of the universe to the other side...

Would it be alright if we just keep the jump scenes and get rid of the post instead?

Perhaps a option to skip them - but not get rid of them.

Do we know if they're basically loading screens or not?

Modifying process speed, ie speed hack, can reduce them to 0, therefore, not a loading a screen but an animation. You can do this with both the in game debug menu or a 3rd party program like cheat engine etc

edit:
Using a 3rd party program with hotkey functionality allows you to use a hotkey to toggle the increased speed on and off, allowing you to skip them at will, or like me, skip through enemy turns -though the latter requires a high end CPU to be able to do all those actions and calculations in such a short period, not recommended unless you have a top of the line pc or you can crash your game due to poor pc performance, skipping the jump scenes any old potato should do fine.

Half of the jumpship scenes im pretty sure are hidden loading sequences.
You can skip some of them but not all by simply pressing escape key.

Anyway i like them. They are very relaxing.
