how to delete patches/ revert to release version?

Like the title says, is it possible to delete updates/patches and use the release version.
newest patch screwed up my savegames. even after adding all the mods again.
also impossible to start a new campaign.

If you're asking if you can revert to the default (current version) you can go to your library, right click on the game, select properties, select the local files tab, then click on "verify integrity of game files" it will check your game folder and redownload any files that are different than the current ones on steam.

Other times it's better to just do an uninstall/reinstall of the game, to get back to vanilla.

ah if i clean install the update is not automaticly added to the install process? because i did a clean install and it does not work

unfortunately, they do not have version 1.0, (if that is what you are looking for), just the current release, and the public beta test patch.

Sadly only by pirating the game and playing that previous version until the Legit version gets patched up properly
