There is no way a gyro can make you dodge attacks. A gryo is for stability.
Cool, thanks.
Theres a seperate gyro for stability damage im pretty sure
It's a stat buff on a piece of gear. Real world doesn't really enter into it. There are gyros that improve stability but their descriptions all say something like -X% stab dmg or something.

dont want to repeat :P
Helping you Keep your balance would let you do more extensive evasive maneuvers.
Just to play devil's advocate and all that.
And the stability ones are... not terribly remarkable, with IIRC a Gyro+ giving -10% stability damage, compared to a Gyro+ that gives +2 Hit Defense. (They really should have different names; if you own both, you need to check the description to distinguish. And there's a third Gyro also just named Gyro that's for melee attacks).
in Battletech lore.. between their gyro and the neurohelments pilots wear?
*mechs are able to sidestep attacks...
heck some have even been able to do handstands!
remember due to Myomer bundles (a metal muscles that contracted when current is applied...) mechs are actually set up a lot like.. humans..
interalstructure with myomer muscles laied out like human muscles. giving them a far better degree of movement then any Battletech based game has showen..
well the they can do all that without a gyro mod, because every mech already has a gyro.
Yes there are stability gyros for reducing stab dmg -10/-20/-30%
The gyro mod is an improved gyro design over the base model. Every mech has actuators too, but you can get arm/leg mods that give improved actuators.
Its still doesnt let a mech try out for the harlem globetrotters.
