This. All ammo bins are refilled for free after combat, so you don't need to replace them unless they got shot to pieces by critical hits.
The equipment you put on your mech, or that you salvage from the field, isnt ammo. But its the bins and feed mechanisms to make your weapons work. You will only need to replace those, if they get destroyed in combat.
So no, you dont need to keep like 20+ LRM ammos in storage. You just need a few for replacements and future upgrades.
