What is your favorite BattleTech faction?

We've got a lot of fans coming over from tabletop and other franchise video games, so I thought it might be fun to see what factions everyone hails from. Can be anywhere, even free companies. And I suppose the filthy Clanners can declare their allegiance to whatever stupid bird or dog or whatever they worship.


Personally, my TT unit was part of the ComGuards. Not a lot of people like ComStar because it keeps all the good tech to itself, but I'm all about that. Besides, I love all that quasi-religious techno-mysticism crap. I actually have a sticker of a tech-priest from Warhammer 40k on my tower to appease the computer's machine spirit. Like da ComStar baby!

Magistracy of Canopus and House Centrella. Don't like the smug Inner Sphere nobility. Periphery first always. If it has to be IS faction I would go with House Steiner.

Lyran Commonwealth and early on Wolf's Dragoons because there was clearly something unusual going on there and I wanted to know what.

I suppose mine is Clan Novacat, not sure if I'd call it my favorite they just happen to have my favorite mech. I'm not exactly up to snuff on the lore mind you. The last time I read or did anything BattleTech aside from a mechwarrior game was maybe a year of so after MW 3 came out. I moved away from my BattleTech friends around then. I was also really young like 11 or so.
