That assumes the player has access to one. Apparently the OP does not. That's why he's asking about the Trebucket.
If you are using it as a missile boat, I would ditch the lasers and keep it out of LOS of the enemy altogether, just use it for indirect fire.
JJ are BAD, do not use them. get you killed. ANY AI mech that has used JJ to stay close (as opposed to breaking LOS) has died in 2 turns or less to my lance
I used mine as missile boat. Only they were srms. Some extra armour and heatsinks. In that configuration it becomes a striker-type mech. It's a bit on a flimsy side tho, so keep it out of combat untill some enemies are ready to pop.
I was running a srm focused Centurion in tandem with it. They worked very well together. You can ofc run it in pair with any other striker mech, like Kintaro, Jenner or srm Quickdaw.
JJs are good if one uses tem correctly. It's not JJs fault that AI is braindead and a tad suicidal. In hands of competent players JJs are just bee's knees. Extra mobility they provide greatly boost both killing power and survivability. As long as terrain allows is. But it usually does. And ofc they allow for DFA attacks. There's nothing like dropping 95 tons of Highlander on someone's head. <bagpipes playing>
