IS there a way to raise speed of a mech ?
I have quite a few mech which are pretty useless in many mission, escort etc... Because those (explective) idiot of apc I msut convoy plough ahead FAR ahead of me and get mostly wasted, while my heavy mech get left behind.

So that leave me with either switching to medium, or hope the AI of convoy get better and they wait for my mech to move ahead of them , or speeding up my heavy...

Is there a way , or a mods for leg, to enhance the mech movement per turn ?

No, that one stays the same. Somewhere along the timeline they got better myomer muscles and could up the speed, iirc.

You can put some jump pads on your mechs, other than that maybe use some lrms so it can dish out some damage and hinder the enemies with some knockdowns.

Nope, engine size is locked and hidden. However you can often use jumpjets to get around in unothrodox ways. Also keep in mind that rough terrain and forests reduce your movement the following turn. So consider jumping out of forests instead of moving out.

Some of the mechs that are faster in their class make a lot of sacrifices to get that little extra speed anyway. Dragons, quickdraws, and banshees in particular really suffer from tonnage limittions because their engine is so large.

not really. But you can get some "effective" speed boost via max out jump jets. Its not true extra speed. But it lets you move over stuff instead of around stuff which can be handy.

If you increase your piloting enough, you'll get a 20% boost to sprint speed. Obviously not handy when you want to shoot, but will help you keep up and/or close the distance faster the rest of the time.

Excellent ! I will try that out. Thanks.

Yeah I miss the STD and XL engines of MWO. Oh and the different armor types that take up slots. Probably a thing of the future.

Max jump jets are essentially a free sprint. It isn't as effective as the 20% sprint boost on roads or other level terrain, but much more effective in forests, uneven terrain (mountains, etc.), and water. Either way, a jump is further than a regular movement and is a signifigant strategic advantage in combat. If you have the heat capacity i cannot recommend max jump jets enough.

You have choices:
1 Skip doing escorts
2 Do them with a proper lance

QQing about bad AI is just making excuses. Improvise, adapt and overcome, or stfu.
