I don't know about you but after playing Battletech i got honkerin for MW4 mercs, after lamenting for lack DVD drive on my current rig, i remembered that Microsoft released MW4 games as freeware back in 2010.

So you want to download game from here.

Then install patches.

Got it working on my windows and gave it a little test by fighting alone on clan Elemental against lance of IS freebirth scum on Atlases. It was a sort fight.
