Game crashing during end of scenarios
At the end of the first mission past the tutorial, 'Coronation Day,' I think it was, the game crashed upon entering the evacuation point at the end (Before cutscene started.) This time it generated a report, asked me to send it somewhere, not sure how to do that, but I reloaded and managed to continue.

Then I got another crash on the mission right after that, it took me to what looked like a drop/spaceship loading screen and never moved from there. Eventually I had to shut the game down since nothing was responding.

Is the game crashing in this manner for anyone else? Is there anything I can do to prevent this? I can't really play a game that will bug out at the end of every single mission.

The beta patch just made it worse for me.

no, beta patch doesn't work :(

Same here. I didn't know about the Beta patch, so I just did that, now the game is crashing in the middle of missions due to melee attacks or level triggers.

I want to complain, whine, etc., whatever, but I know that won't do any good. I'm still holding out hope that these things get fixed. I've just learned my lesson to never, ever get new releases, and instead wait till this stuff gets patched.

This started happening every other mission (give or take) after week 134. As soon as my mission ends... i save it... and hope i dont crash until after the save.

I sometimes get a crash at end of a mission, making me have to replay it. I guess it is a replay value feature? Anyway, likely it is a memory hole, as it doesnt hit me till after I have played a few missions.

it gets worst, later you get hard locks forcing a reboot ..after you win a mission but am at the salvage screen , which does not auto save anything and so you have to replay the mission. And then crash again at the same point

This hits me in a hit or miss fashion at any moment. I just went from character creation, through the tutorial, to a hard crash upon meeting the traitor royal guards in my first melee attack.

Reloaded, got through rest of scenario no problem, taking time to save every few turns. It is tedious, but I got through.

Problem is, about 5 hours in, I've still not finished any mission besides the opening. Not even the first one with my lance.

If a dev, or savvy fan of battletech comes across this topic, really want help. Mechwarrior 2 was one of my first games as a kid, I followed the brief animated series as a kid, and have played every battletech/mechwarrior game since the early 90s. I love this stuff. But it's nearly unplayable now. Even got the deluxe stuff to help a dev out with an amazing concept.

Friend of mine is crashing as well end of mission. I "strongly" suspect it is related to how the game is loading the video files. Many of the ambient animations are looping video files, hence the crashes on the leapard / argos.

Check your logs, very likely its the access violation 0x0000005c in d3d11.dll or battletech.exe. As others have said, save early save often. Go back and clean up saves every so often as loading saves populates previous saves and makes that screen load slow.
