Banshee, in lore, deployed as fire support, or melee brawler.
I can't wait to get one of those, preferably 1E, i plan to fit it for melee, with gyro, arm mods, and support weapons.
I could understand if this game had urban fighting and you could turn around a building and hit an Atlas in the face but on mostly open maps...
Shreks have horrible aim. If you can keep it mobile and noone sensor locks you you will shred them.
This.. is.. awesome!!
I put one banshee on the field with 2x Arm++ (+60 dmg each) and 3 Flamers. I wanted JJs and more flamers but it wasnt possible due to weight limitations at full armor.
250 damage per swing and THIS THING IS BEING IGNORED BY THE AI!
I can rush in with 6 evasion and punch and toast everything while the AI focuses on the slow tank behind me.
Now we just need the Charger assault mech, it is as fast as a Shadowhawk. :)
Still it is horrifying to run between 8 enemy mechs and punch in every direction wile being .. ignored...
is too slow though. i tend not to use assaults as melee mechs. i usually just use my heavy grasshopper as a brawler mech
Did you read what I wrote? If you do not equip any weapons but flamers the AI will ignore you.
And its armored to the teeth and faster than a heavy.
