How did you fit a Shadow hawk? Also, Large lasers?
I really liked the "How did you fit a Centurion" thread, so heres another For Shadow Hawk.

Mine has:
2x AC 5.
SRM 4.
Small laser.
Lots of armor.

Also, what do you use Large Lasers for? They eat tonnage and heat like crazy but do just a fraction of the damage Mediums do for the same tonnage.

I pretty much just pack all my mechs with med lasers/srm6's. I can't remember what the shadow hawk I used had on it though, that was forever ago.

I have the 2H with the AC5, SRM4 and a medium laser, and the 2D with 3 SR4s 2 medium lasers 2 small lasers and max jumpjets depending on the heat of the map and lance comp overall.

Large lasers have always been bad from purely an efficiency standpoint. The only real value is in ealry game when your gunnery is crap and your pilots don't have guts to control recoil from ACs. And even then it's not too great.

Large lasers are pretty much the worst weapon in the game. They need to generate a bit less heat to make them viable.
I just love my missile boats. Can't have too much firepower :3

LRM 15++ (+2 ammo)
SRM 4++ (+1 ammo)
Small laser
medium laser
Jump Jets x 3
1 Heat Sink

Sufficient armor, but not maxed by any means (have it where it counts).

But my 50T Centurion CN9 has more armor and more tonnage allocated to firepower, be it a little less mobile. So the Shadow Hawk is a good addition.

To see what tonnage one has to play with, just remove all equipment and allocate sufficient armor and fill the small weapon slots with small lasers. The tonnage you have left and the options then become clear.

This might surprise some:

My 50T Centurion has 16 tons to pay with.
My 55T Shadow hawk has 13 tons to play with.
My 60T ** some heavy ** had only 7 tons to play with.

As can be seen, bigger ain't always better.

Large Laser is like a sniping weapon you use really. It's less tonnage, weight, heat and damage than a PPC and doesn't do any stability damage but is more accurate.

I currently use two Shadow Hawk's but I don't always deploy both.

Shadow Hawk 1 has:

1x LRM 10
1x AC/5
1x M laser
3 Jump jets

This version is generally meant to fight at longer to medium ranges with the LRM 10 and AC/5 with a nice plethora of LRM ammo.

Shadow Hawk 2 goes the opposite with:

1x L Laser
2x SRM 4
1x LRM 5
1x MG
2x Heat sinks
2x Jump jets

This one is more of a close range brawler which uses the L Laser and LRM to snipe and soften targets from afar while trying to close in and flank. One jump jet is omitted to make room for the heat sink since you will only be using the jump jets to get flank and back shots and the odd DFA attack. The MG ensures good chance of crit seeking once the SRM's and laser opens up a hole in the enemy mech's armour plus helps in melee combat.

My Shadowhawk has 3 SRM4s, a small laser, a large laser, and 800 points of armor. I find that the LLs are a useful compromise, being lighter than PPCs, but harder hitting and longer ranged than MLs. When you only have one or two energy weapon slots, sometimes it's better to go a LL. On my Shadowhawk for example, I also wanted something to allow it to shoot back at long range targets, to keep it mildly flexible in its role as my lances pointman/scout.

AC/5, LRM5, SRM4, ML, SL, 5JJ, no heatsinks, melee gyro. Versatile and reliable in any situation. Preferably to be piloted by mechwarrior with some points in tactics, for ranges to stack better.
I never was fond of Shadow Hawks before this game.
