The blonde question

100% serious and not trying to troll, I'm sure that the lack of light haired textures was entirely an oversight by the dev team and not intentional. But I need to know if there are any plans to add blonde hair textures to the game. If there aren't then I guess it is time I learned how to do 3d moddling and get to work adding them to the game myself.

Is there no Blonde Option?

So maybe hair colors are chosen on a per head basis, but I couldn't seem to find blonde. I found blue and other fanciful colors mind you.

I wanted to play up the Noble aspect of my character. (I also wanted something more pale, I like the unnatural pale tones... But I understand why a skin color that is fairly rare wouldn't exist)

ALSO possible the blonde option just looks unblonde when you see the colors.

Kind of funny because with one of the hair options I could look like a protagonist from Legend of Galactic Heroes... If Blonde was a hair color.

I have a feeling I know why there is no Blonde option. Well ok I have three theories.

Kind of weird considering the opening movie/cinematic shows a blonde dude and his wife. I thought blondes were bred out by this time period, according to some people.

Then those "some people" are a bunch of ignorant idiots. Just read the battletech novels and you will find lots of blond people, most famously the Steiners.

Sigh. Mix the 2 hair color options and play with the lighting.
You can achieve pretty much any shade of blonde, from dirty blonde to nearly white blond.

The only thing that is not available is a really yellow blonde. But i guess like all these threads its not really about the hair color.

Beards have some weird coloring issues. Mostly because it seems like they only take one flat color, so if you have hair colors like dirty blonde (Or one of the many haircolors that rely heavily on highlights) the beard will be flat brown.

Well even in this game there are plenty of essentially fake hair colors that are "natural" such as white (yes I know you can have white hair in real life outside of old age, but that isn't typically hereditary in the way other colors are).

Mind you the whole Blonde is going extinct was part of faulty science. So I wouldn't be surprised if for a short period of time the novels mentioned that blonde doesn't exist (then again hair dye exists)

Have you even played the game? The majority of the mercs are... white male. And there are several blonde male and female mercs.

Yep exactly. Blonde is achievable in the game - ultimately a lot of these people are whining about something they know nothing about.

There are also several mercs who are blonde.

You know, I am not going to give the game credit for having an option that is only available if you bend the game over backwards until the light of the camera lightens a color to make it look sort of yellow.

There is ignorance and then there is the game not having the option but you being able to cheat it a little.
