Partial Mech Salvage mechanics make no sense
Three Partial Mech Salvage = instantly having a fully armed Mech ready to go.

First of all - the value of 3 of these is much less then buying the mech itself

Second: It makes no logical sense that you could instantly have a new mech without any time invested just because you have collected the three piles of salage (It should take at least a day to put it together - maybe more. Think about how many days it takes to repair a damaged mech!)

Third: Why does it appear with weapons and jumpjets? Imagine you killed the pilot of a panther by a lucky headshot. Great new PPC! Oh and you looted 3/3 of the panther's partial mech salvage. Hey check out my new Panther in the mech bay with a second seperate PPC!

Really I assume this is a bug that HBS somehow missed. Partial Mech Salvage should combine to give you a completely stripped mech.

(Muh progression!)
Yes this will make the game longer but it honestly makes no sense!!

It's not a bug. People have been complaining about all these things for months.

Considering how long refitting takes, well, if that's a bug I don't really want it fixed.
Obviously it's streamlined, but then you only get a tiny fraction of the real value from selling mechs as well.

When you buy a mech it comes fully loaded with weapons - which increase the cost. the sale price is a fraction of the stripped mech.

yea, they need a hardcore mode that makes you repair the salvaged mechs, then you should have to ready them. I made a post about this under suggestions on the offical forums. (hard core mode) please feel free to add to the topic :)

Also if you eject or loose a mech to destruction it should be like normal salvage mechs, not automatcially back in your inventory.

I think repairing the mechs salvaged is a good idea, but there's no way I'd negotiate a contract with anyone that would have my property put up for salvage lottery if it is damaged and/or bailed out.

That means I think salvaging my ejected or downed mechs is a very silly idea. :cupcakeelf:

Good point.
No mercenary unit in the entire Inner Sphere would agree to a contract where their downed mechs could become property of the employer even after they win the engagement.
