drop ship destroys my mechs
Hey peeps, just wondering if you guys have had issues where your leopard as it lands destroys your mechs by landing on them, I have had this happen in multiple games. Now i know not to park the mech under the landing zone but if i don't know where the ship will drop down to its kind of a problem when it lands on the shiny toys that you some how did not take major damage to the entire mission lol.

To be fair, the game has a GIANT RED ZONE that is really easy to miss. If you're colorblind.

This guy's right. I noticed same thing was in the middle of an engagement and saw that two mechs of mine where standing on a red that the white dots had a red outline, upon reading it said that mechs positioned here maybe destroyed by landing dropships, I moved immediately, 2 turns later the drop ship landed right where I was previously.
The game does tell you, just have to read the different status signs on the terrain😊

It does? I have not seen it in any of my play throughs....>< and if it was there and i just over looked it i am going to be upset with myself.:steamfacepalm:

I have a problem with that too. Sure it DOES show red dots where the dropship will land, BUT the problem is that even if i dont stand on the red dots, it still crushes my mechs sometimes if they stand anywhere near that location. So now whenever i spot the landing zone, i just run away from it as far as possible, because there is no real way to know if it's safe or not...

I am with sithstalker on this one. On story maps there is a red circle. But twice today I played a "pirates took over a manufacturing site" mission and finished killing all the baddies only to have Sumira the Murderess land the Leopard on top of my guys. There was no warning cuz the game did not know I was gonna finish the map when I did.

The worst part of this, is that there was a nice empty hill top starting two hexes from my mech that I deliberately moved away from thinking that flat hilltop > than deep crevace forest for a landing spot. Alas, Sumira decided on death for the MechWarrior who I gave Sumira's coffee.

Note to self. Don't take the last coffee if Sumira hasn't had her fill yet.
