thx, guess will have to spend a whole afternoon reading that xD hope everything ins in there
This.
Like Doc above said, this ♥♥♥♥ should really be in the tutorials and not have players on a wild goosechase on google, steam and youtube to figure this crap out...
Would I prefer both? Yep. Still, I'd rather have extra depth and need to go through a hoop or two to learn it, than nice clear tutorials and reduced depth.
Saw one youtuber post many hours of gameplay before he realized there was a directional indicator to let you know where you'd be shooting the enemy mech from. Or that the orange chevrons beside the enemy indicated ideal weapons range.
Whoever designed this battle interface is not that good at it. So many good TBS examples out there (xcom series, divinity etc). Making an interface ambiguous just to be different is not a smart idea.
Or just figure it out through play
geez, the C64 Battletech game had a better tutorial than this (on paper) ... and that was like 30y ago or something...
