A couple questions regarding Pilot skills, please help!
I have 2 questions regarding Pilot skills.

1. What is the -1 indirect Fire penalty from tactics? Can someone explain to me what it does and how that helps me?
2. If I take Ace Pilot from the Pilot skill tree and the Bulwark from the Guts skill tree, do they stack? So I can shoot, gain Guarded and then still move and keep my Guarded? (would be pretty OP combo)

Indirect Fire Penalty is for when you launch LRMs at a target that the firing unit cannot directly see - this is indicated by a targetting line with a curved, parabolic arc to it, instead of the normal straight line. When firing in this manner, you've got a penalty to hit. Higher Tactics mitigates that penalty.

no idea on the Bulwark/Ace Pilot combo.

2. I don't think they stack. By moving, you clearly disable bulwark requirements. To be confirmed though, it is just a guess.

Thanks, I will try out the combo and see if it works because I can't test it in skirmish. Will save before allocating to Bulwark when I got Ace Pilot, if that works I would probably give that to all brawling mechs. :D

Moving+ 2-3 evasion + Guarded + Shooting every turn? OP!

And then in high spirits... that would make it an OP God. Sure gonna try that combo out. Did not think of it yet.

You only trigger Bulwark if you don’t move. Only turning is allowed to keep bulwark triggering.

When I get back next week, I'm actually planning on trying out a Bullwark NPC to (if I make them live long enough) gun for Evasive manuvers then Ace Pilot. Even knowing they do not work at the same time.

Behemoth has been basically cursed so far for me. So I was thinking for them "If I use EITHER Bullwark, OR try for 4 evasive pips and they keep getting slammed in the head or kneecaps... Maybe I need to double down on every defensive skill in the game?"

Not becuse they stack, since they do not. But to maximize their options of damage reduction wile stuck being the only mech not playing keep away half the time in the early game. (Also piloting is the melee accuracy tree, so PUNCH GOODER is already a goal if I want to keep the Shadowhawk in the running).

I expect this to result in getting headshot 3 times a mission instead of 2 times a mission.
