Game lock up post mission after "3yrs later"

I can complete the mission, I see the results screen. I get to see the Mechwarrior's exp and Mech damage. Then I hit next and it begins to load.
Then the loading stops, I hear what sounds to be a door openning and get just a black screen. I let it sit there for 20min and nothing happened.

No bug report, no crash. Just have to exit out at that point.

I have reinstalled everything i can think of short of formatting my HD and reinstalling the OS.

Anyone able to fix this issue?

I saw somewhere that is may be and AMD driver problem. ( I have an AMD Raedon 7500 series)

FINALLY made it past the mission by lowering everything to the lowest settings. Graphics, resolution, etc. Still locks up from time to time post mission, only got to play 2 after that

This happened to me 2 hours after launch. I havent been able to play the campaign since. I even had the day off work and couldnt play Battletech :(

Having this happen at the exact same point, although my screen goes white instead of black. Have run through this mission about 4 times, same problem every time. And since it doesn't save after the mission, I can't get past it.

So it appears that I have paid 39 bucks for a one mission game.

I have a save with only 1 tank left and was able to load and try again at the lowest settings.

Did not fix the issue.

Same issue....I can't get past the tutorial mission. The mission finishes, I get to the screen with the dropship, then the game just hangs. The planet in the background is still animated but nothing happens after that. The only thing I can do is exit the game as the OP mentioned.

I've verified the installation and updated drivers. No love...

Few things to try, the following have all worked for different people. Set the exe to "administrator mode" if you have GoG Galaxy uninstall it, disable the DLC, disable your antivirus. I had the same problem asyou last night, uninstalling the game(gog copy) and *not* installing the DLC patch worked for me. The other have worked for other people.

Same here, right after the 3 year meission. The game has a driver´s crash and recovery, defaults to desktop and returns in a windowed mode. Yet, the game is still running in the background in a a non-visible screen (windowed or even after Alt+Tab to full screen, I still only see the desktop), Interestingly, and by the sounds, I seem to be able to hover and click some kind of menus with the mouse pointer, altough I´m seing anything.

AMD 6600M, very low end but still above min. specs, updated drivers. Game runs fine in low/med settings/res, it just locks up after this mission. I tried it in lowest settings also (all low/off). No fun.
