GTX 860m, good enough?
Will my GTX 860m (Alienware alpha) be good enough to run this?

This card is close to the GTX 560 Ti mentioned in the minimum requirements, so yes i think will run the game but maybe with a little choppy framerates

Sry for my bad english i'm french, but i hope i'm clear enough :)

I have a GTX 660M and I expect it will run the game fine (although I suppose it's time for a new gaming laptop :-)). I can run most games in medium to high settings with no issues

Thats what I love about this game. It will run on my business laptop which has a M1200 Quadro sans gtx960m equivalent. Should run magnificiently. Same on your config. It will be nice to have a good game on the go that sips on battery slowly. I expect 4 hours of play time on my 90W battery (Lenovo Thinkpad P51)

My old laptop has an GTX 860m and it certainly played XCom 2 on medium settings no problem and i wouldn't have thought this was much more intensive.

Thanks guys, appreciate the help, I’ve bought it now so fingers crossed.

If I do start having problems, would you say it’s relatively easily to lower the graphics and stuff in the game? (I’m a noob)

You can pray. I'd personally lower the graphics if it starts to chug bad enough.

I'd say lower the graphics to like low instantly, if it works move them up one by one.
If you know you might have problems it's always better to go up then to go down =)

And also, next computer you buy, don't buy Alienware. It's a waste to spend the extra money on the brand and the looks, that money could be spent on the actual hardware instead and get you a much better computer for the same price =)
I ran the beta with a little choppiness on a 950m which is quite a bit weaker. You should be okay.

@Borgy#76 how is it working out for you? I have an ASUSRog with an i7-4710HQ CPU, 2.50GHz

My 860M is running it on medium settings right now using the new patch.
Im even able to stream as well and play for 5+ hours without stopping.

Nice, no issues @fireborn?

Sometimes it gets choppy or stutters when enemy mechs get parts blown off or die. But it does that on our other much higher end laptop as well.
