Sadly no.

It doesn't stack, so it's -1 for the next turn regardless of how many PPC hits he takes.

You can make it stack if you edit the JSON files for each PPC flavor (or, at least there's a property whose name strongly implies that it controls whether this stacks).

You can always multishot to spread the Debuffs around.

I feel like -5% to 3 enemies is less helpful than -15% to 1 though.

It doesn't stack, but there's a variable that allows it to in the .json files and because it's just a weapon edit rather than adding something new entirely it won't break when you update the game.

hmmmmmmmm as cool as it would be I can't help but wonder if it doesn't stack for a reason. perhaps it would be too strong?
Yes it does

I saw this post before and just assumed he was right and answered my question but no this guy is most definitively wrong.

Yes your PPC debuffs do stack, because quite frankly it actually would make it pretty pointless as a weapon otherwise (35 heat and 7 tons of space wasted just on 50dmg and a measly -1 to hit? pffft)

I just was watching this with one of my few units who's actually got more than one PPC along with some PPC turrets in my base and also a couple vehicle support friendlies and I've been watching this. The enemies are getting -2 debuffs from the sensor locks and -1 EACH for EACH successful PPC hit. I've got a guy on the field who's actually taken so many PPC hits in a row +the sensor lock that he's now get a -6 difficulty to hits.

Just go and hover over the orange triangle with 3 lightning bolts thing:
>6 difficulty to all this unit's attacks until next activation

So yes it of course does stack, unless that was an additional sensible patch within the last few years.

False it stacks. Again idk if it was some kind of a patch since 2018 or what but it most certainly stacks and quite frankly why the hell wouldn't it? Because I saw this thread and wrongly assumed you guys were right I started stripping them all off because it's an incredibly stupid weapon without it.

A pair of just two of them amounts to 14 tons of space and 70 heat per turn just to do 100dmg at somewhat long range, thus making them practically useless next to almost anything else like the L Laser because you still get the long range but only generate a paltry 18 heat in comparison and only need 10 tons of space to do 80dmg. Oh, and the largely irrelevant stability damage with some lovely recoil effect making your next shot harder. I can do 120 dmg at same range with 2 tons less space and not much more heat than a pair of PPCs.

Sole reason to get PPCs is because those accuracy debuffs do stack which means a pair of em on each of two mechs does -4 accuracy if all hit which amounts to 5%x4 iirc so -20% accuracy (iirc evasion bars does 10% difficulty or 2 difficulty per evasion bar I'm not sure why acc modifiers work as 1=5% rather than 10% but yeah)

Any particular reason you searched out a 3 year old thread to reply to about this?

This is what happens when there is a necro. The PPC debuff didn't stack at release and when the above comments were made. Also PPCs got their heat generation reduced down to their current value.

Maybe you should check if this is the case before writing a mini-essay.

Because when I searched online for the answer to the question I had this is the exact thread that popped up, leading to me thinking that's how it worked for a bunch of missions before observing in game the advice from the thread was wrong.

Yes and now the thread also has been patched for the next person who tries looking this up next year)))

And you didn't bother to consider than in a PC videogame the info can easily be obsolete and that in lot of games balance changes are very common.

No, it is not "patched". Now it is messed up, because most of the info and commentaries are obsolete but mixed with corrections that you won't know unless you carefully look at the thread. But the visibility of the thread has been boosted because it has recent comments.

That instead of making a new thread so you know what you'll get is the most updated information about the current state of the game.

So no, you haven't been of help, like you try to turn it around, but made it worse.
