You got Dariused.
I didn't get the awesome on the second one though, and yeah you are going to run against the clock
And I managed to pilot-kill both of them. :D One by injury, the second I blew the head off (lucky LLas shot the first round, followed by three turns of 5% Precision Shots)
So, woohoo! Early Assault mech, even with my difficulty set to 4 parts! On the other hand - it's a Banshee. :D
Thanks Captain Obvious, we know there is a timer (as a tiny little number in the list off to the side).
It's still rather jarring when in the middle of combat standing literally 10 metres from your enemy going hammer and tongs you suddenly get a popup "missions accomplished" and it's all over.
From a purely technical standpoint, yes it works, that doesn't mean it feels at all immersive and can't be improved!
I guess at this point the attacking force gets order to retreat and the game just ends the mission since objective is complete. I suppose it would be fun if the enemy actually had to retreat and you could now shoot them in the ass as they run to the edge of the map. Unless there is some legal MRB reason why mercs cant shoot retreating opfor or something? Is there? If there is it would be funny to have darius mention it at some point to explain the abrupt mission complete screens.
Any planet but it seems to be a low skull mission. I think it came with 1.8 never seen it before that but then I never hang around the low skull planets for long. Seems to be one of the new mission types. Just read the mission descriptions of defend base type missions it should mention an assault mech despite the low tonnage rating of the mission.
