Stop shoot my Blackjack
Ok this is getting seriously annoying. I've started a new game with the urban DLC and now for some reason it seems like the Ai is only interested in targeting my Blackjack with every attack. No mater what I do or where I put it, they go out of their way to attack it even if it means running past all of my other mechs exposing themselves to back attacks just to shoot at the Blackjack who is sitting in a forest in defense mode just inside their max attack range. They just completly ignore every other mech unless there is absolutly no way to get a shot off at it and only then will they try to shoot someone else. Seriosly wtf?

.... where do you put it? (relative to condition of other mechs I mean).

I noticed the AI now tends to go for the most threatening/and or squishy mech I have fielded 1st since patch (depends on situration I guess).

and ignore the ones braced/in cover.

Edit: kinda interesting. dunno if its just me, but I think the AI is now playing mind games with me now.

At the moment may main team consists of the Blackjack, Vindactor, Shadow Hawk, and a Centurian with a Jenner I switch in when something else is under repairs.

even when braced/in cover and/or in the very back of my combat grouping they still target it like it's the only thing that matters on the battle field. I've probably had 5-6 missions where I ended with 3 mechs completly untouched and my Blackjack missing both arms and torsoes and 10 points from getting cored

They started to focus on one mech.

It is also based on evasion and if you have moved them already.

They did talk about tweaking the AI for city maps maybe some of the tweaks have changed the way the enemy plays.

well I hope they change it in a future patch. I mean it does make since to focus on one mech at a time expecially since that's what the player will tend to do, for actual gameplay where you have to manage mech conditions and what not it gets really frustrating.

Pull him back more or don't move someone else. I find a mech with no evasion at all tends to attract attention .

What kind of weapons, jump jets and armor level you using? Also what pilot skills?

It would be easier for you to adapt. I used a dual PPC BJ for a while in the past days and let him keep its distance. If he is out of weapons range he will be ignored.

I've noticed it too. It seems sometimes they just select a mech and tunnel vision him, usually resulting in their death. When I see them doing this I just run the target away and they happily expose their back to multiple enemies while mindlessly pursuing their chosen target. I don't like it, but free money is free money.

The "AI" sees the BJ as the biggest threat and focuses on it. I put my player character in it and get bulwark ASAP. When I drop into a mission I plan my movements to take full advantage of any cover. Optimally, the BJ makes a maximum movement into cover each turn and firing for the best result, and I use vigilance when it's up. Then, while the idiot "AI" wastes shots on a Bulwarked, in-cover, vigilance Blackjack, my other mechs take them out. Problem solved.
