Great work! What language did you write it in? is it open source? and lastly, how long did it take to make? looks extensive!!

C++ with Qt library support, it isn't open source project.
About how much time I used - since around of October 2018.

Very nice work I was looking for an online version of something like this not that long ago but this will do nicely.

So my question dose this scrape the wep info, mechs, etc from the game itself to make it easier to add updated info? Or do you have to manually update your code to deal with any dev changes?

It is based on game .json data files entirely, so not only it automatically uses latest data, but is also compatible with most of mods.
I still have to add some stuff manually, like DLC mechs data which are hidden inside game bundles, or additional rules like for Urban Warfare "only one electronic warfare equipment may be put on a mech".

If the page comes back, http://www.redxi.co.uk/BattleTechEditor/ is also a pretty good one, it's what I used until very recently when it seems to have disappeared. I prefer non-download builders like this one. Just thought that I'd mention this if anybody else has the non-download preference (and in case it comes back).
