What are your thoughts?

While there does not seem to be an overwhelming amount of content, this definetly looks like the best content update so far when talking about mechs and weapon systems.

Still, overall a little disappointed with the DLC pass so far, especially considering the price.

Khan McEvedy's body was never found, Hallis died in the deep Periphery coreward of the IS to get justice and stall the Clan forces from intercepting the ships that managed to escape. Lorewise though, you have to consider that this may deviate from canon if we consider "The Blood" faction in the Word of Blake. However it is considered "canon rumor" so who is to say? But... why would there be a world named McEvedy's Folly in the Periphery near where this game takes place? Albeit... more to the "west" off the map on the other side of the FWL territory.

It turns out that the Bullshark we re seeing in the demo is a fully loaded out end game version
The base version will have a much more basic loadout

The Lbx and uac's are not star league versions you won't be able to replace them after you acquire them.

Do these new mechs become available for purchase via system stores and obtainable via regular combat (i.e. random enemy missions use them) or are they flashpoint things that you fight/get once and that's it for the playthrough?

Not that i actually use more than one of a mech type, but i like fighting against some variety.

if they were correct in the first vid the weapons will pop up in stores. the mechs will pop up as random enemies though they will have a different load out then what was shown as they were set up for play by one of the devs for his own personal taste when shown off. i do not believe they stated if you will have to unlock them like the raven via flashpoints or be available right off the back.

I'd be willing to bet that most of it is available normally, but some of the fanciest stuff (like the Bullshark or the Annihilator) are only available once you finish the "derelict ship drifting in from Beyond Known Space™" Flashpoints.

Bullshark and Annie are likely one offs outside of skirmish and mp as are some of the weapons. But the other mechs will be trying to kill you and taunt you in stores frequently.

However... the Bounty Hunter was never a member of the Wolf's Dragoons... he fought against Natasha Kerensky a few times and even fought with her on one occasion.

Given we already had encounters with the Kell Hounds and Grey Death Legion in Flashpoints/Events, this will likely be no different. But I won't argue the grudge match between these two iconic characters lol

My guess is this will be around the time between 3024 and 3027 if they are sticking within the 3025 era and don't advance the timeline... otherwise we could be talking about any number of incidents with the Bounty Hunter.

You're actually in a three way fight, it's not just a grudge match. You literally are a third party that crashed between them and gets tangled into their difference in opinion. So you are literally fighting Natasha's command lance and Bounty Hunters lance, your not allied or helping Natasha. You're way more likely to be seen and treated as an opponent by her, if it was Jamie it would of been different, but Natasha is a shoot first and give a ♥♥♥♥ after the fact and maybe not even give a ♥♥♥♥ after the fact. She literally is the worst Dragoon to stumble on if your hoping for a friendly first encounter..... literally.

Maybe sort of friendly after getting her ass handed, just don't expect to have friendly chats with her, considering how hot headed and aggressive she tends to be towards even towards dragoons.

At least it's the impression I have of her.

Also there's a mention of a periphery mission that is not explained in Sarna, so maybe this is the mission where Bounty Hunter's Marauder gets heavily damaged (forced to change the engine etc.)

I choose to be an optimist and hope that the Flashpoint mini campaign will have more options than existing missions

I choose to be an optimist and hope that the Flashpoint mini campaign will have more options than existing missions

They also made it clear that the last mission is a giant brawl, that if your not ready you will get destroyed because you are in the middle of those two. I think you only cross them in the last mission. Either way I rather they stick to who the characters are and how they would act. Natasha is not Jamie, she won't ask for your help, and won't accept it unless she has no choice. And I doubt Bounty Hunter would accept or ask for your help either.

I think your doing something seperately with different approaches etc and get caught in the crossfire.

Another 3 way fight - BORING
Neither of them can die - too lore breaking and HBS has been very careful about that
I still hope HBS finds something more imaginative than that for the finale
