List of Mechs?
Sorry if this has been asked before, I just stumbled upon this game on the MW:O forum.
I was wondering if there was a Mech list?
Or just a list of confirmed Mechs?

This list is just for the beta and many of these have several variants
For the full game I believe it is over 50 total mechs plus non playable tanks and vehicles as opponents and allies
see the pinned topic at top and check out the forum for more info
Im at 9 hours and ive still only played around half of them.....
The list is basically the majority of the MWO Inner Sphere mechs.

Mechs that (probably) will NOT make it for the initial release: Black Knight, Javelin, Archer, Phoenix Hawk, Wolf Hound, Bushwhacker, Crab (???), Roughneck, Rifleman, Cyclops and Mauler.

Otherwise, I think all of these Inner Sphere mechs are supposed to be in:

MAD-3R_Marauder gave the full list (which was also posted on this game's Kickstarter FAQ). But the short-hand way to see what 'Mechs could be added to the game (just the potential, not a certainty) is to look them up on Sarna Wiki and see what year the 'Mech went into service - anything after about 3025 means it went into service after when the game is set. So the Roughneck, for instance, ain't happening. The fiction for it expressly said that it was developed as a response to the losses suffered during the initial Clan Invasion (which puts its development sometime after 3049, the year the Clan Invasions started).

Similar cases with the Wolfhound (earliest prototypes were produced in 3028 and it didn't go into full production until 3052), Bushwacker (3053), and Mauler (3048).
A mechwarrior game with melee and no Axeman?
probably House Davion DLC. hehehehe

Tho modders are already at work and we do not even have the full game yet. They are even talking about ability to add Clan mechs though I don't think they have yet

Adding completely new mechs with new models is a whole different level compared to what's being done now (which is adding new variants of existing chassis or adding new chassis that reuse existing models). We'd have to take apart the Unity asset bundles for each chassis and understand their contents in detail before we can talk about making new ones from scratch.

I would rather see Star League Tech than Clan Tech. That would be more plausible for the setting. And why did the Raven make the list that was a 3050 Mech.

The thing went into full production in 3024 and earlier versions, like the RVN-1X, were in use a few years before that. Fits perfectly with the game's timeline.

Probably because it doesn't have a design fitting the aesthetic yet. Cheaper to re-use the models from MWO than commission a brand-new design and all the concept art that entails.

Or it could be that they just haven't released the full list. Also remember this takes place in 3025 and the axeman was released in 3048. Now the hatchetman was released in 3023 but considering the timing of the game it is likely only going to be available from the Lyran Commonwealth and the Federated Suns.

A lot of people are rooting for the Hatchetman including quite a few of the Devs and there is a strong in-house movement for this mech going on.
The big issue is, that there is no model for the Hatchetman from PGI (PGI shares their assets with HBS) and creating a mech from zero is currently not an option for HBS.

But, as Mitch Gitelman, the studio-head likes to say: In success, all things are possible - and the Hatchetman is pretty far on top of the list of "all things", right next to co-op mode. :)

Well the one Marauder posted earlier is the full one that they've been touting since the Kickstarter campaign started (and probably a bit before, I can't remember) and there's been no indications that they've added anything beyond that, so it's probably best to assume that the list in the Kickstarter FAQ is the finalised one for what 'Mechs'll be in on launch.

Just remember, it only lists the 'Mechs, not what variants of those 'Mechs will be in.
