questions about conquest

considering buying the game for the wife and me to use with the multiplayer mod, but had some questions first
1. can conquest be done multiplayer?
2. how in-depth is conquest mode? can it be a long-term progression thing or is it fairly shallow?
3. can you do conquest mode with modded units/weapons/vehicles or only vanilla?

Conquest cannot be done multiplayer, and it is only vanilla (for now). Honestly, it is pretty crappy and buggy (very short, fairly shallow, no mod support, easily cheesed or beaten normally, and often enemies will just magically give up and stop spawning), and I wouldn't recommend playing in its current state. However! The next update, or maybe the one after, is a complete rework of conquest mode, which will hopefully make it not garbage. I don't know if that will work for multiplayer. It has been a long time since the last update with little news, so I don't know if and when the next one is arriving. Also, the "Multiplayer Mod" is outdated and pretty much dead, so I would recommend using RavenM instead, which is like the base game (or modded) but some actors are controlled by a person instead of an AI, and by all accounts is quite good

Highly recommend NOT to get the game for multiplayer. However, I think you should still buy it. The other mods are really fun.

was interested in playing solo for various mods but was only gonna get the second copy if multiplayer with the ravenm mod is any good. though if it has splitscreen i dont need the second copy lol, saw someone mention that

unfortunately no splitscreen, in order to play with RavenM you need a copy for each player, but it is as good as the game is as a whole, I don't think it even has many bugs, though i'm sure it has a few
