im still not so sure why you wanted to know this since im not sure how it relates to your issue sorry. but if it does then nevermind haha. in the manager are you removing mods from that? doing so doesnt uninstall it, it merely removes it from the list of mods to be loaded (and you dont need to restart either- just save every now and then and load if you mess up. even now you know where mods are youll quickly learn its not much help since theyre completely unrecognisable at a glance)
about the only use of knowing where theyre stored is so when you get new ones you can add them manually (and not load all workshop each time), using the sort by date to identify them. if you need to find a mod in the files for whatever reason, especially with hundreds, your best bet is to sort by d&t and then uninstall, reinstall from workshop
