I have to agree with you and the post. I do believe a co-op mod or even a split screen mod could be very cool. I feel like it could almost give the classic star wars battlefront 2 feeling.
Yes indeed i agree. But i do look forward to see what people do with the final game. We have custom cars/planes/boats, guns and maps, but what about scripts? thats what i want to see. Parkour mods, New animations for the player, Zombies... you never know. This game has a chance to be just as big as Gmod. Remember Gmod also started with ONE main developer.
just stop asking for multiplayer
Just wondering if it would be cool, im not trying to beg for multiplayer
rendering twice would not be hard at all lmao. in fact, tons and tons of guns on the workshop do it with fancy dual render scopes and those barely touch the fps
the controller bit would be a bit more difficult though, yeah. player 2 could have the option to use a controller or something similar
all in all though, split screen would be tons easier to make than online mp. the hard part would be making the game work with more than one player at once (though a lot of it is really generic when it comes to that, which is good)
if ur at 2 opposite ends of a map, chances are ur frames will be much lower than average, and on massive maps it could crash the game or even ur PC.
yes its easier to do than online MP, but that doesnt mean its easier to do overall. any form of myltiplayer will always be hard to implement and optimize for a 1 man dev team.
besides many would argue this is a sandbox game, not meant for competitive gameplay or even tactical gameplay in a coop mode
