steel Raven is legitimately a bad developer
He barely updates the game and when he does it's often very insignificant and not much of an improvement. I get that he has an actual job beside this, but he refuses to hire someone else to work alongside him and improve and develop the game further. Not only that, he has made a lot on money from this game and the work he puts into it is nothing compared to the potential and opportunities this game has. He talks about all of his plans he has for this game but I mean anyone can talk about their "plans" and not act on them

look at how the game was when it first came to steam compared to now. it is very different in the years that have passed. you can claim the developer has not acted on their ifeas for the game, but if you look at the roadmap and updates over the years that is just false.

the game also frequently receives updates to the beta branch. it was going to have a ea 26 update to main branch a week and a half ago but it was delayed. while main branch updates are infrequent, there is still work going on behind the scenes.

Yes, there has been updates, but when the last time he posted a severe update that dramatically improved the game and its mechanics? You can't say the helicopter and plane update was really important, since there were mods that already improved them in the first place. Also, the ea26 update is not anything incredibly important, especially since it has took a while for it to be released.

i am not sure what you are expecting from updates then? bugfixes, optimization, addition to ravenfield tools pack (for making mods or something), update to newer unity engine, improvements to ai, update to citadel map, and higher quality air vehicles have been added this year if i recall correctly.

a “bad” developer would neglect updates to improve the overall game like bugfix, ai, or optimization and instead rushnew content that will further propell the bugs and bad performance in the game. to my knowledge i dont think this has occurred.

EA26 is an update to the unity version. You have revealed you have never developed anything in your life if you think that would be quick to do, especially with the requirement of backwards compatibility because of the game's reliance on mods.

Shocking how those plans are being fulfilled. I'm not sure where you might be able to find one, but if you looked at a roadmap from a year or more ago, you would be able to see all the plans that have now been done.

Just because the game isn't being developed fast enough for your liking doesn't mean the dev is bad. He has made a good game, is clear on what is being developed, and fulfils his plans (if not necessarily "on time").

And I've probably fallen for a bait post. Oh well.

EA26 updates the entire game to Unity 2020 you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It may not affect the gameplay or graphics all that much, but it will greatly improve performance and it is a very big step for this game that I imagine is difficult to do.

Im no unity expert but I believe that updating it to newer versions wont require you to remake the entire game, it just has the chance of breaking a lot of code.

This pal right there is so used to g4y4ss corporates and devs such as Activision and EA, he doesn't even realize that this game only has one developer and already makes a great work. Seriously people have issues regarding what to admire as a success or not
