How to squad control?
This is what I understand about controlling a squad:

- To get a bot to join one's squad, look directly at them when they are nearby and press the 'G' key. The number of bots in one's squad is displayed in the bottom-left of the screen.

- There are at least three modes the bots can be put into, those being: Hold, Follow and Go to. I don't know how to switch between Hold and Follow.

- Holding down 'G' key activates the 'Go to' command, and the squad will go to the place in the centre of the screen when the 'Go to' command is issued.

- In addition, by holding 'G', circles appear around capture points, with text saying e.g. 'Attack capture point' and by releasing 'G' key over one of these circles the squad will carry out that order.

What else do I need to know?

Thanks. I tried it out and got it.

So the Squad Leader Kit, aside from the binoculars and rangefinder, just allows one to give these orders on the map?

I think so, yes.

Squad leader kit does nothing aside from cool binoculars.
You can open same minimap with B (or V, can't recall 100%) and assign same orders on the map.

But I believe I have heard that unless you use Squad Leader Kit, the bots will only "hear" your orders in a relatively small radius. Which isn't really true, as I had bots forced to move over 1200 meters on some maps between points, while I myself was on a sniping position.

So, yeah, SLK is just fancy binoculars with a rangefinder.

Thanks.

Yeah, it's B button.

Squad Leader kit doesn't sound that useful. Maybe if they could call in off-map artillery strikes...
